Culture...
When we went to Puerto Rico this summer, I knew I had some great scrapbooking photo ops when I saw all the colors of the buildings. For this layout, I just really wanted to display the colorful culture of Puerto Rico so I just paired some pretty funky color combos and created some clusters.

HIS...
I loved the comic book paper in the kit. The bottom portion of the section I recieved had this great peaceful beach scene. I knew it would be a perfect fit for the layout of my husband's eyes. I just cut it where I wanted it and just layered it under the picture and flash card. I added the "beachy/peacefulness" by cutting out the vine that was in the 7 gypsies paper and it kinda resembles seaweed or something coming up the side of the page. I then just used the pipe cleaners to frame his picture and draw your attention to his eyes.

Hours...
I really want the embossed designs to stand out a little more so I just lightly painted them so they would pop a little more under the lace numbered cardstock.

#1...
I loved the KI border stickers... but I didn't want to use them "just how they are" on this layout. I wanted a custom scalloped edge around my hand cut frame of patterned paper. I took one of the circle border stickers and cut it in half and just placed it behind the patterned paper for a scalloped look.

Me at 23.
Creating this layouts was really fun for me. With a new year coming up, I really wanted to remember who I am right now. I never want to lose touch with who I am. Again, for this layout I just brought together some fun clusters and put some things under some pop dots for some dimension. I love the fabric in the kit so I cut it up and placed it on 2 corners of the layout for some contrast to the bright colors.
