This layout is in celebration of my birthday month! I'm pretty much a new year's baby so the beginning of the year always doubles as an extra big birthday party for me! This year I turn 26, as you can tell from all the highlights on the 2 and 6 numbers on the lace cardstock. I painted them by hand for added emphasis. I used a black market to help clean up the edges.

I hand cut a crown from the fabric paper and embellished it with paint and black marker. The bottom part of the crown is composed of the cardstock stickers and some cardstock that I cut for decoration.

The rainbow cardstock, when tilted to the side, has the appearance (to me at least) of some fun "c's" which is my initial, so I thought that was pretty perfect!

I doodled around my title to help make it pop off of the photo. I sure do love my white gel pen!

On this layout I hand-cut a large scallop accent out of cardstock and punched stars as a border to accent it.

I used some scraps here, to help frame my photo, as well as the packaging from the Love Elsie Soft Charms. I punched large and small stars from patterned paper to echo the stars I punched into the background detail.

I loved using the comic as the background for this page. It just felt so warm and cozy and "us" because G and I are actually quite into comics and science fiction.
