I made a joke earlier this week about how I was probably going to end up on Santa's Naugty List and was going to get only coal for Christmas. Then I started thinking about all the things I do that are really NAUGHTY (Keep your mind out of the gutter kids!)

I'm talking like the fact that when I see a yellow light, I will speed up to go through it. Or that I will sometimes let my cell battery go dead on purpose so I don't have to return someone's call right away. (See, I really am bad and naughty). Thus, this page.

This was super fun and easy to do. I tore the edges of the Love Elsie paper and mounted that on the blue cardstock. I punched snowflakes out of the back of the Pop Culture paper (so white and shimmery!) and added my title and the KI journaling sticker

I ran out of "t's" on my sticker sheet, so I cut up a "4" to make my title. I think it looks pretty funky and fun!.

This is a Christmas ornament that I made using paint, BamPop chipboard bubble frames, patterned paper and plumbers foil.

The first thing I did was peel off the pretty paper from the chipboard frames (as I was planning to use them in another project). I then painted the naked chipboard with brown paint and let dry.

Then I cut the Love Elsie paper with my scallop deco scissors to fit nicely around each of the chipboard pieces. I really wanted a little bit of the brown chipboard to show on the edges, so I cut the paper much smaller than the frames.

I decorated the middle piece with a photo, some dymo label and some small matching letter stickers. This is the part that really defines the design of the ornament.

To get the pieces to stick together, I used super strong double sided adhesive tape to secure the pieces together at the place where the bubbles form a "tail." I then covered each angle on the top with a "v" of patterned paper so it would look even.

For stability, and to form the hanging part of the ornament, I cut strips of the plumber's foil and burnished it along each of the edges of the top of the ornament and then wrapped the tape (and twisted) into a spiral. I kept adding tape and twisting until I felt it was thick enough and strong enough to hold the weight of the ornament.

I finished it off by tying that pretty pink boa ribbon around the top. Super fun!

This one was soo much fun to make! I LOVE that snowflake ornament!

I did a lot of hand-cutting to emphasize the details papers and for an added touch I doodled around the edges of my scallops and page edges with a pink gel pen.

You can't really tell from this picture, but this layout is super shimmery in real life. For the background text I used a metallic silver stamp to stamp the words of my title "joy" onto the back of the shiny Pop Culture paper. I also stamped the accent snowflakes onto another piece of the pop culture paper for added glimmer.

I think the whites I used on this really stand out against the green of the paper and the red of the Thickers. The color white is emphasized by my big border frame and my journaling. For added emphasis on my title, I also mounted the BamPop word bubble to white cardstock and used my scallop deco scissors to trim around the edges.

I also used red as a secondary accent. The red of the Thickers in the title is echoed by the message pad sheet and the red music notes on the Love Elsie paper.

It's all very joyous and harmonious. :D

This layout uses "paper stitches" I think it is a super fun and funky way to use up scraps or thin strips of paper.
