Dani Johnston

Hi! I'm Dani. I'm 23 and I'm from the Kansas City area of Missouri. I'm married to a wonderful guy I've known since I was eleven. We have no kids yet, but three lovely little furbabies. I've been scrapbooking about a year and half now and I can't get enough of it. I study art and photography full time in college and hopefully will have a career in those areas someday. I got into scrapbooking from all the collage and art journaling I did in school - I remember finding a scrapbooking magazine in a bookstore and being totally amazed by it, I was going through a spell of feeling very uncreative and it was just what I needed. I just really love how personal it is and how therapeutic it can be. Plus it's just fun!
Right now I can't get enough of using paint - splattering paint and ink is the best. If my hands and clothes are paint stained, then it's a good day. I love using song lyrics and random quotes I pick up here and there for my journaling, sometimes they say exactly what I need to say. I really like blending scrapbooking and art journaling - filling up blank journals is addictive!
I love spending my time outside and around nature when I can - but being lazy with my husband and watching SciFi is also a pretty good time. :) I love hot tea, moccasins, rainy days and tart apples. Flipping through magazines and surfing the web when I should be doing other things are silly habits I may or may not break some day.
I'm so excited to be guest designing this month - Sweet Spuds is awesome! :)
